Salary, tax and statutory deductions (UK)

Employees are paid monthly in arrears on the last working day of each month, in pounds sterling, directly into their nominated bank account. Salary is stated in the employment contract and reviewed annually. A review does not guarantee an increase. Payslips are provided electronically each month and show gross pay, deductions and net pay.

The Company operates PAYE and deducts Income Tax and National Insurance contributions as required by HM Revenue & Customs, along with any student loan deductions and pension contributions where the employee is eligible and enrolled. Employees are responsible for keeping their tax coding and personal details with payroll up to date.

Where a role qualifies, the Company pays at least the applicable National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage for the employee's age and status, and pays for time spent travelling on Company business in line with the travel and expenses policy.
